Having collaborated with the owners previously, and with the husband also serving as our trusted drainlayer, we shared a clear vision for establishing a comfortable yet stylish place to reside while the main home was built.
Despite its modest proportions, this two-bedroom sanctuary is anything but understated. An open-plan living area lies at the heart of the layout, visually extended by soaring scissor trusses that emphasize vertical space and lend an unexpected sense of grandeur. The owners, with an eye for design and a penchant for bold statements, carefully curated a color scheme featuring deep, dramatic blacks. Far from diminishing the sense of space, these darker tones interact with the raked ceilings to create a warm and expansive atmosphere.
